What are the current opening hours for the Spa at Ashford?
Spa opening hours: 8am – 7pm daily
Spa treatments available: 9.30am – 6pm
Relaxation pool, essence infused steam room, fitness suite: Bookings are essential and available on the hour for 45 minutes
Family times for the relaxation pool: 8am, 9am, 6pm (limited availability & times subject to change)
(All Children under 16 years must be accompanied to the Relaxation pool and supervised).

Are we required to book/reserve the relaxation pool and fitness suite?
If you would like to use our spa facility during your stay, a reservation needs to be reserved on the hour, for a period of 45 minutes. We would advise you to bring a bathing suit if you wish to use the relaxation pool, and gym attire for the fitness suite. Please come dressed in your robe and slippers or fitness attire. Towels will be supplied at the Spa..
At present, we reserve one booking per family/group per stay. On arrival to The Castle should we have available appointments we will allocate to the guests whom have requested more times. This is to allow an opportunity for all residents to avail themselves of our facilities throughout their stay.
How should I arrive and be attired for my Spa treatment?
It is advisable to arrive at the spa reception at least 15 minutes prior to your treatment reservation so that you can complete your consultation form. We encourage that you come from your room prepared in your robe and slippers.
Please be aware that late arrivals will not receive an extension to their treatment, but a full charge may be incurred.
Can I receive a Spa tour?
For the discretion and privacy of the guests using the Spa Facilities, we may not be able to give a show around of the Spa.
What is your cancellation policy?
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to change or cancel treatments without charge.
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to change or cancel all hair reservations.
Can I visit the spa alone?
Absolutely, many of our guests use their time at the spa to get away from everyone else and to spend time concentrating on their own individual needs.
If I have particular requirements can these be accommodated?
Your comfort is our primary concern. Our experienced therapists ensure that your time at the spa is all comfortable as possible and the experience will be tailored to your needs. Please do not hesitate to inform us of any discomforts or requirements that you may have and we'll be glad to assist.
Is there an age restriction for children?
The minimum age requirement for spa treatments is 16 years old. Children under 16 years may use the facilities but must be accompanied by an adult over 16 years.
Is there a dress code?
We suggest that you come dressed comfortably. Remember that you have to leave in what you arrived in, so make sure your dress code will suit the relaxed mood you’ll be in after your treatments.
Should I inform my therapist of any medical conditions that I have?
It is important to let us know if you suffer from any mild to severe conditions such as high/low blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease as certain treatments may not be recommended.
Can I visit the spa if I am pregnant?
The Spa is the perfect place to relax during pregnancy. It is vital that you inform your therapist that you are pregnant prior to booking any treatments as there are a few treatments that we would particularly recommend and also some treatments will not be suitable during certain stages of pregnancy.
What if I have a question during the treatment?
We encourage you to ask any question and voice any queries or concerns you may have with your therapist. The open communication is to aid your comfort level, allowing you to receive full benefits of your treatment. Do not be afraid to let your therapist know.
Do I need to remove my clothes during a spa treatment?
The therapists use professional draping techniques to ensure your privacy at all times. Disposable underwear is provided for wear throughout the Spa services or you may wear your own.
When is massage not advisable?
Massage is not recommended if your medical condition may worsen due to the treatment or the condition is contagious. If you are unsure about your condition, please contact us and we will either recommend specific treatments or refer you to a general practitioner.
