The Wine Cellars at Ashford Castle offer private wine tastings and exquisite wine dinners in the castle's secret passageways, uncovered during renovations. Once a coal bunker and walkway for servants, these 16th-century tunnels now feature three unique, cosy spaces with soft lighting. Utilising a Coravin system, guests can sample some of the world’s most exclusive wines without removing the cork, keeping the wine fresh for weeks. The extensive wine list, curated by our knowledgeable Head Sommelier, includes fine vintages and a selection of new and old world wines. Guests can enjoy food pairings and intimate private dinners, creating a unique dining experience perfect for any occasion.
