The Quiet Man
In 1951, the film director John Ford came to the west of Ireland to film The Quiet Man, starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. The grounds of the castle, as well as nearby Cong, formed the backdrop for much of the action in the film.

Our premier cinema room is a magnificent feature of the castle, designed with the charm and luxurious comfort of a traditional picture house. Setting the scene with 32 sumptuous red velvet chairs, plenty of leg room and an impressive screen, we invite you to enjoy the action with a vast selection of movies shown daily.
