The bigger picture

How We Tread Right (HWTR) is TTC's five-year sustainability strategy, which guides the way we operate and the projects we support through The TreadRight Foundation. HWTR identifies the issues impacting the health of our world and presents eleven strategic goals that guide our sustainability initiatives at Red Carnation Hotels. This video summarises our focus areas, how the strategy is embedded into our business, and how this aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Climate

Climate change is directly linked to an increase in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the atmosphere resulting from human activity. It is all of our responsibility to reduce our emissions as much as possible, and support the transition to a low-carbon future.

Our beehives

Our beehives are a key sustainability project at Ashford Castle. Thanks to their pollinating efforts, these wondrous little workers support the verdant environment of our 800-acre estate, and help our trees, plants, and other little creatures flourish.
